Jorge Giorno

    Jorge Giorno is a highly accomplished session drummer and music educator with over 20 years experience performing in live shows, theatre productions, and studio recordings. He has worked with internationally acclaimed artists, including Grammy winners Armando Manzanero and Lila Downs, as well as Spanish singer-songwriter Ismael Serrano and platinum-selling artist Alfred García. Jorge has also served as a pit drummer for musical theatre productions such as Kinky Boots, Rock of Ages, Cabaret, The Rocky Horror Show, Blood Brothers, Rent, Ghost, and A Chorus Line, among others.

    His notable live performances include collaborations with the Argentinian folk dance group Malevo (semifinalists on America’s Got Talent), Elvis Presley’s Live in Concert symphonic show featuring Priscilla Presley, and events in iconic venues, such as the National Auditorium in Mexico City, Luna Park Stadium, and Colón Theatre in Argentina.

    Jorge has performed worldwide in countries including the UAE, Monaco, China, Spain, Mexico, Colombia, and El Salvador. He is currently the touring drummer for The Beatles Symphonic Fantasy and This Is Michael (featuring MJ’s guitarist Jennifer Batten).

    Since relocating to Canada, Jorge has played over 120 shows across Southern Ontario, including appearances at Burlington Ribfest and Cargill Homecoming Festival, as well as performances at venues like Fallsview Casino and the Toronto Convention Centre. He also serves as a guest percussionist for the Oakville Symphony. Additionally, he was the pit drummer for BurlOak Theatre Group’s production of SpongeBob The Musical and the house drummer for Hamilton’s Good Shepherd event, featuring Juno Award winner Suzie McNeil and Canadian Idol winner Brian Melo.
