Drums

Students of all ages are taught the fundamentals of drumming, how to play basic to advanced drumbeats, how to play along to songs, learning by ear and by reading, and learning what the role of a drummer is in an ensemble or band. Lessons are specialized to meet the needs of each individual student, and our teachers develop every lesson to meet these needs based on skill level, interest, and goals. Drum students of the Hamilton School of Music are encouraged to perform at recitals and competitions to experience performing in a live setting. Several of our students have gone on to play in high school as well as professional bands.
