Addressing Teaching Challenges 2019

On Sunday, January 20 at 1 p.m. guest speaker, Amy Di Nino, RP, MA, ARCT, MTA, NMT, Registered Psychotherapist/Neurologic Music Therapist/Conductor, gave an informative talk to staff.

Given her knowledge and expertise in music therapy, Amy spoke about issues we may encounter when teaching students, such as speech/language impairments, health/orthopedic impairments, cognitive impairments, and learning disabilities, and how to deal with these challenges.

Interesting and different techniques were mentioned on how  to modify a student’s lesson and ways to approach and discuss these issues with parents.
