2018 Teacher Workshop

Pianist and jazz drummer, David Story, led an insightful workshop for our HSM teachers about “Pupil Savers:  Keeping our Schedule full.”  David spoke from his experience of over 40 years in various fields, namely:  pianist, drummer, band leader, copyist, arranger, music director, music agent, adjudicator of festivals and exams, and music teacher with an ARCT in Piano Pedagogy.  Multiple topics were discussed regarding teaching methods and how to retain students, and valuable feedback was exchanged between everyone involved.
